A survey has revealed traditional roast lamb with all the trimmings as New Zealanders' favourite dish.
Over 1,000 respondents to the Beef and Lamb questionnaire chose roast lamb over Kiwi classics such as fish and chips and Shepherd's pie.
A traditional staple on many families' dinner tables, forty-two per cent of those surveyed also chose lamb over beef, pork and chicken.
Beef + Lamb CEO Rod Slater said Kiwi's are proud of New Zealand lamb's reputation globally.
"Our country is renowned for our lamb and we think it's the best in the world. Not only that but it's part of our heritage, it's what many of us grew up on," says Slater.
