Kind act by McDonald's worker goes viral

A McDonald's employee's compassion for a disabled customer has gone viral after a fellow diner posted a secret snap to Facebook.

Chicago McDonald's worker Kenny Soriana-Garcia reportedly left his busy till to assist a man in a wheelchair who had begged, "Please help me."

Witness and secret snapper, Destiny Carreno, noted on Facebook it was initially unclear what the customer was trying to ask.

"Neither of us knew what help he needed, and the cashier suggested a few things before he figured out the gentleman needed help cutting and eating his meal."

Carreno says the cashier closed his till during rush hour service, disappeared out to the kitchen and returned with gloves on to help the man cut and eat his food.

"At that point, the tears started to gather in my eyes," she posted.

"My heart was so appreciative for what he did. I couldn't contain my emotions in the crowded restaurant."

The post, shared over 337,000 times, garnered the attention of the McDonald's store owner who said in a statement: "We are very proud of Kenny, and overwhelmed by the positive response he has received for his compassion and kindness.

"It's a true testament to who Kenny is, and a reminder to us all that one seemingly small act of kindness can touch the hearts of so many."
