Monkey jumped it, and then the second and third. So far so good.
Lauren watched anxiously. "Come on!" she muttered. Monkey was their best chance of beating beastly Shona. Of the two ponies Monkey was the most active. But Lauren could see that he was already looking for a chance to duck out. Tashy knew this and pressed him on with her legs, her hands ready, driving for a rickety wall. Lunar had cleared it with a
metre to spare. Monkey slowed down, Tashy shouted at him and he decided to jump after all. He crashed through it, scattering wooden bricks far and wide, and cantered on, bucking happily.
Lauren groaned. But now Tashy was angry and Monkey knew it, and decided to be good. He jumped the rest clear, and Tashy rode back to them, trying to look like a good loser. Not very successfully.
