"That's wonderful," said Pig. "But how does that actually help us?"
"Why, we try again, don't we!"
"Do we?"
"Of course!"
"I suppose so," said Pig. "But how about waiting until tomorrow?"
The next day dawned bright and sunny. As soon as Pig had finished breakfast, he climbed to the top of the hilly field, lay on his back, looked up into the sky, and began to dream his flying dreams.
"Hi there, Pig!" It was Dog. She came bounding up the hill full of bounce and bright enthusiasm. "I've been thinking about your flying problem all night. I even took a little turn down by the chicken coop."
"To chase the chickens?" asked Pig pointedly. One of Dog's favourite hobbies was chasing things - especially chickens!
Dog looked hurt. ":I was doing research," she declared. "I needed some ideas about how to get you airborne - you know, flying."
"And what did you find out?" Pig asked.
