Nicole Kidman has signed a new production deal, and her first role could be as a New York television producer experiencing the challenges of country life. The deal allies Kidman's company Blueprint Films with Initial Entertainment Group, which has 11 Oscar nominations for producing and co-financing The Aviator.
The Hollywood Reporter says the partnership's first project is likely to be a movie version of the bestseller The Quality of Life Report, which tells of a television producer who falls in love with the small Midwest town of Prairie City and moves there from New York. Kidman is already committed to producing the movie but it has not been determined if she will also star.
The actress is at present in Australia to film Eucalyptus with Russell Crowe. She will next star in The Interpreter with Sean Penn, and in Bewitched opposite Will Ferrell.
