Nicole Kidman is to star in the first English-language film by acclaimed German director Oliver Hirschbiegel, a science fiction thriller titled Invasion.
Hirschbiegel, who made last year's Downfall,
has signed Kidman for the leading role in return for a US$16 million ($23.34 million) pay cheque.The epic was originally conceived as a remake of the cult sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
