However, this information only fueled Hopkin's rant further.
"What I do on Twitter, I reflect the views of the viewer at home on their sofa," Hopkins said, defending herself on New Zealand radio today.
"The reason that Tweet went kind of crazy and all over the newspapers was because so many people thought the same thing.
"I think ultimately she's a big old bird."
Hopkins has previously spoken out about hating "cute names" for excess weight like "baby weight" and "puppy fat".
"People aren't lucky to be thin," she said on air this morning.
"They're actually hard working at it ... what it is is fat and you need to move your arse to shift it."
"...If you want to go down the path of saying you've got a slow metabolism or whatever I'd say well don't shove so much food in the top end of your body. It's pretty simple."
Hopkins also took aim at baby names, saying she wouldn't let her children play with anyone called "Tyler, Chardonnay, Charmaine or Chantelle"
"There's always names that we would say we don't really like, those children I'm not that fond of. Would I invite those children around to my house for a playdate? No, I wouldn't," she told ZM listeners.
"We're not like them. My children are not like them and I'm not interested in hanging out with their mum.
"... There is a correlation between certain names and if you go maybe to the court list of who's appearing in court that day, you will see a lot of those names on that list as well."
This prompted a pregnant listener to put in a fiery call to Hopkins, saying she and her partner had picked the name Tyler for their unborn son.
"It might be okay for the guy that does your bathroom, but it's kind of associated with kids who bite on the bus," Hopkins replied.
The ZM crew tried to understand the ethos of the 40-year-old mother, asking if she thrived on being controversial, had a troubled childhood, an "undiagnosed mental illness" or just "needed a hug".
However, she batted them all away, saying most people are frightened to say what they think, including the interviewers.
"I do have the balls to say it like it is, I kind of pride myself on that, and actually, I guess I'm one of the few women left on the planet that's prepared for people to come back at me quite hard.
"I have been labelled 'The Biggest Bitch in Britain' for a reason, and I think that's fair.
"You guys aren't used to the truth."
