If you always wanted to get married in a rain-ridden ravine wearing a dress with pockets big enough to stuff your bouquet into - well, now you can.
Outdoor lifestyle brand Kathmandu has well and truly branched out, today releasing their first ever wedding dress, in partnership with New Zealand designer Tanya Carlson.
Using seven metres of GORE-TEX - a fabric usually used for outdoor wet weather gear - to create a signature Carlson silhouette, the "all weather", merino-lined dress boasts several features to withstand tough conditions and keep up with the most adventurous of brides.
The train transforms into a cape - to keep your hair in place against those inevitable alpine gales - and internal zips allow you to whip off the hem for a playful secondary look at your reception.
And when the party's over, the dress packs down into a tiny travel-sized backpack. Sounds like a recipe for wrinkles, right? Fear not: the robust fabric means zero crushing while crease-detailing is built into the skirt's design.
