Kate Hudson has come under fire online after claiming having a caesarean birth was the "laziest thing she's ever done".
During an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Hudson completed the sentence: "The laziest thing I've ever done:" with "Have a C-section!"
Mothers across the globe were quick to throw fury at the comment, taking to social media to vent their frustration.
One mother posted a response to Hudson on Twitter: "Dear #KateHudson having a C-Section is far from lazy, ok?"
While others said they were "so disappointed" and had "lost a lot of respect" for the actress.
However some Twitter users ran to the defence of Hudson saying having a baby via C-section was her choice and that there was "no backlash here".
Hudson, however, seems oblivious to the rant taking place over on Twitter, posting the cover photo of the magazine to her Instagram with the caption "What a blast!".
Hudson is yet to respond publicly to any negative reactions to her comment.
