She has her mother's dark hair and the same delightfully chubby cheeks as her brother Prince George.
But a new family portrait reveals two-year-old Princess Charlotte bears the most striking resemblance to her great-grandmother the Queen.
The photo, which appears on the Cambridges' Christmas card, shows Charlotte with the same bright smile as the monarch, 91, who is affectionately known as 'Gan-Gan' to her great-grandchildren. The pair also look remarkably similar around the eyes, according to the Daily Mail.
The touching image, taken at Kensington Palace earlier this year, shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dressed in matching blue outfits with George, four, and Charlotte.
Meanwhile the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall also released their Christmas card photo today, opting for one taken to celebrate Camilla's 70th birthday in July.
The Cambridges' photo was shared on the official Kensington Palace Twitter account with the short statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year. The photograph shows The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their two children at Kensington Palace."
The photo shows Prince William, 35, looking dashing in a suit and light blue tie. Kate, 35, chose a feminine peplum jacket and matching pencil skirt from favourite designer Catherine Walker for the shoot.
A closer look at the image suggests it was taken before Kate announced she was expecting her third child as her figure-hugging look reveals no hint of a baby bump.
Prince George is seen standing in front of his father, who has his hands resting reassuringly on his son's shoulders.
The young prince, who is understood to be quite shy, looks slightly uncertain about being in front of the camera and reaches a hand back to clasp his father's finger.
Princess Charlotte looks rather more sure of herself. Stood in front of her mother, the toddler purses her lips into an adorable smile and rests her hands lightly on the front of her printed floral frock, which she wore previously during the royal tour to Poland.
While George appears to be fidgeting, with one foot raised as if taking a step, Charlotte looks more comfortable and stands with both of her feet firmly on the ground.
Charlotte is seen wearing a pair of blue Mary Janes while her brother wears black leather loafers with long socks - although one has fallen partway down his ankle.
The image, taken by Getty royal photographer Chris Jackson, was released shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall revealed their Christmas card.
Charles and Camilla are pictured dressed for a private summer party, at the prince's Highgrove home, which marked the duchess's July 17 birthday.
The heir to the throne is wearing a dinner jacket and black tie while his wife is dressed in a dress by Anna Valentine.
Hugo Burnand took the picture of the couple at the party held at the Highgrove estate a few days before Camilla's birthday.
In the Christmas image Camilla is wearing a flower design necklace, described as a private piece, which complements her embroidered ivory dress, while Charles' dinner jacket is by Savile Row bespoke tailors Anderson & Sheppard.
Printed on the outside cover of each Christmas card are the Prince of Wales's feathers and the duchess' cipher, while inside are the words 'Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year' printed on the left-hand side and opposite is the photograph surrounded by a thin red border.
