US soul singer John Mayer is fed up with being asked about his personal life, especially his rumoured relationship with Jessica Simpson, not long divorced from Nick Lachey.
"Do you get fired if you don't ask it?" Mayer said to reporters when asked about the rumour.
Mayer, 28, who had hits with Your Body Is a Wonderland and Daughters, is on tour to promote his album Continuum.
He plays the St James, Auckland, on November 5.
