Jolie to star in Beowulf

Angelina Jolie will play the part of the Queen of Darkness in the film adaptation of the epic Old English poem, Beowulf.

Angelina Jolie will star alongside Ray Winstone in a Hollywood adaptation of Beowulf, the Old English epic poem.

The poem, written in the eighth century, follows a Scandinavian hero who takes on the legendary monster, Grendel. Jolie will play the Queen of Darkness tempting the viking during his quest to become king, while Winstone will play the title role.
