John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, has been voted the "most punk" star of all time in a poll organised by Britain's Radio 1 to mark 30 years since the Sex Pistols played their first gig.
Others in the top 20 included Sex Pistol Sid Vicious, Che Guevara, Kurt Cobain, Johnny Cash, Liam Gallagher and former footballer Eric Cantona.
Lydon was unimpressed. His spokesman said: "What is punk anyway? John never said he was a punk."
