Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has teamed up with Woolworths to phase out the sale of caged eggs at the supermarket giant.
Oliver is partnering with Woolies on a campaign to inspire Australians to eat healthier food - giving shoppers information and confidence to prepare fresh meals at home, Woolworths said in a statement.
As part of the tie, Woolies will no longer sell caged eggs, including its own brand products, by 2018.
It will move to ensure all fresh chicken products comply with RSPCA or similar standards within that timeline.
"We've got loads of great stuff planned that will help you lovely Aussies make some healthier choices and get excited about what you can achieve in your kitchen at home," Oliver said in the statement.
