Mick Jagger's daughter Jade has challenged stereotypes of her being a party girl, and says her parents' efforts to shield her from the spotlight left her traumatised.
"My parents sort of kept me out of the public eye quite a lot when I was little. I sometimes found that a little traumatising, having blankets thrown around me, and so on."
Jagger, 34, is the daughter of Mick's former wife, Bianca. She has two children and is creative director at the British jewellery house Garrard.
She says many people mistakenly think she's a party girl. "They want to imagine that I'm wild or whatever because they want to feel that there's somebody out there doing that while they're going to bed at 9.30pm," she said. "They don't want to think that I'm washing my socks, too, and putting my kids to bed."
