Michael Jackson's father, Joseph Jackson, has been released from a Los Angeles hospital after successful surgery for bleeding ulcers, says his attorney.
"Everything is fine, it was a 40-minute procedure that closed up the ulcers and he should be on the move again soon," said lawyer Deborah Opri.
She said members of the Jackson family visited him while he was in hospital but declined to say if Michael Jackson was among them.
The Jackson family patriarch was notably absent from a hearing earlier this month in Michael Jackson's child molestation case, attended by most members of the family.
