Joey and his mother found their cat, Albert, at the dump _ or rather he found them. Once they were at home and they discovered a strange patchwork cat in the back seat of the car, it just seemed easier to keep it.
But boy, can Albert eat anything that remotely resembles food and Albert even starts to store half-eaten mice in the fridge. And it does take a while to convince Albert that Joey's sister's duvet is not a toilet.
The family is mortified one day when Albert disappears but they are in for the biggest surprise of all when Albert finally returns home.
