The quirky movie deserves an equally oddball soundtrack, but this one is all over the place: original music by former Devo-man/Liquid TV Mark Mothersbaugh; some string quartet stuff; and then there's the well-enunciated Germanic sounds of Nico (These Days), Bob Dylan's ancient throwaway Wigwam, the Ramones, the Clash's Police and Thieves, Elliot Smith, Nick Drake, the Velvet Underground and back to Nico, with string section bits between.
Apparently there are people who collect soundtracks. This is for them.
