The catchwords for this one come up almost too easily: jazzy, considered, ambient, mood music, gentle trip-hop and so on.
You can almost guess what it sounds like when you know Trip are Auckland's Trevor Reekie and Tom Ludvigson with guests Greg Johnson and Chris Watts (airy trumpet), Johnny Fleury (Chapman stick), Nigel Gavin (guitar) and DJ Kritikal offering discreet scratching.
It's low range, subtle and quiet music which lives up to both the band name and album title. Light electronica soundtrack music to the movie in your head, as long as that movie involves getting horizontal, watching clouds move past the window in the deepening dark, and a sense of utter security in knowing that when you wake this will still be there for you. A slow grower.
