By MARGIE THOMSON
Toni Jeffreys (PhD, as she reminds us) offers an all-encompassing rave-over-the-chamomile tea about her sad childhood and awful mother, but with many divergences in which she offers her informed opinion on remedies for just about every ailment afflicting modern life-stylists (she is probably best known for her book Cancer Conspiracy, and she covers some of the same ground here).
She continues to challenge the predominant medical orthodoxies and the paucity of preventive care, and to offer many common-sense suggestions for the treatment of a wide range of complaints. The lack of an index inhibits its usefulness, though.
