Tom Russell: Indians Cowboys Horses Dogs

Tom Russell is one of the most cinematic of Americana Tex-Mex songwriters but there are diminishing returns on his Indians Cowboys Horses Dogs (Hightone) which includes covers of Dylan's Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts (sung by Joe Ely and Eliza Gilkyson) and little-known Seven Curses, Marty Robbins' gunfighter ballad El Paso and others. Disappointing.
