Frizzell's wine
Dick Frizzell is launching a range of wines. The renowned artist has teamed up with Rod McDonald, a winner of the New Zealand Winemaker of the Year title, to create the limited edition wines which will bear unique label art. But Frizzell says it's not about whacking a nice label on the bottle, he's passionate about good wine. Each release of Frizzell wines will be small, and each vintage will have a different label. The first release includes a full-bodied Hawkes Bay chardonnay, a merlot malbec and a quality Marlborough sauvignon blanc, with only 2000 hand-numbered cases being available. The wines will be available to purchase from February 12 at selected bars and restaurants nationwide, and online at www.frizzellwines.co.nz.
