I managed to catch up with Lotto's Hilary Timmins in the Herald's Inkroom to get her impressions of Fashion Week so far. She had just had her nails done by the OPI girls, apparently it was the first time she's ever had a manicure. She told me she loved it so much she wanted to go home a take a picture of them!
What shows have you been to, and are you going to any others?
Yesterday I went to Kingan Jones, which was fabulous! I went to Annah Stretton and I'm going to Yvonne Benetti later in the week. I love Annah Stretton, she's been very generous to me in the past, lending me evening wear. She also does a lot of work for charity, which I think is great.
I would love to go to Trelise (Cooper) but my son's in a music show tonight.
I'm also going to be modelling four outfits in the Hart show tomorrow.
When was the last time you were on the runway?
I can't remember! [laughs] Probably about 20 years ago.
How did you get involved with the Hart show?
I was personally asked to do it by Paul Blomfield. (a fashion industry consultant)
What's on your shopping list for summer?
Masses and masses of stuff, the only problem is financing it all! [laughing]
What are you wearing today?
My slip (a deep burgundy) is from RJC, and my crochet top was about £10 from the markets in London.
