Colin Thiele, the world-renowned author of Storm Boy, has died in a Queensland hospital, aged 85.
He was admitted three days ago after a heart complication and died yesterday.
Storm Boy is a children's book about a boy and his pelican, published in 1966. It was made into a film in 1976.
