Fans of The Sopranos will have to wait a bit longer for the mob drama's final chapter.

Series star James Gandolfini needs knee surgery, so episodes that were due to screen in the US in January will be delayed for two months.

The surgery alone would have pushed the season start back less than that, but the show would have clashed with the Super Bowl.
