Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is to make a movie about the Channel Tunnel. Cruise and his partner in CW Productions, Paula Wagner, will focus on how the link between Calais and Dover is used by illegal immigrants.
Variety reports the film will be based on a New York Times article
which told the story of how Middle Easterners stow away for the train's journey. The script will feature an American refugee who helps to smuggle immigrants on to the train.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali and actor Michael J. Fox have testified before Congress on Parkinson's disease, which both men suffer from.
Ali, 60, did not speak but was represented by his wife Lonnie Ali. "He is and always has been a fighter with each and every cause he believes in." she said. "Today he is facing an opponent unlike any other."
Michael J. Fox, 41, appealed to authorities to increase funding for research, especially through the National Institutes of Health.
