Showbiz: Anne Heche marries cameraman in LA

Anne Heche, former partner of gay sitcom star Ellen DeGeneres, has married cameraman Coleman Laffoon, aged 27, at a villa in Los Angeles.

The couple met while Heche, 32, was making a documentary about then-girlfriend DeGeneres following the cancellation of her sitcom Ellen. Heche and DeGeneres parted in August last year after a three-year relationship.

In addition to her film career, Heche appears on Ally McBeal and is developing a TV series. DeGeneres is hosting the Emmy Awards on September 16 and her new sitcom will debut on September 21. She will play a successful internet executive who goes bust.

Since the break-up of her marriage, the question tantalising Nicole Kidman fans has been: who will the red-haired beauty go out with?

Italian movie lovers think they have the answer. And of course, he's Italian.

Kidman, aged 34, has been spotted on the arm of Italian film producer Fabrizio Mosca. He is said to be charming and - perhaps importantly - he's tall.

Mosca and Kidman turned up holding hands on Saturday night for the Venice showing of her latest film The Others. The two were also together on the French Riviera in May for the showing of Kidman's musical about doomed romance, Moulin Rouge.

American movie-goers turned their peepers on Jeepers Creepers, a horror flick that topped the box office with a record for a film opening over the US Labour Day weekend.

The tale of a sister and brother preyed upon by a bestial killer, Jeepers Creepers took in $36.6 million during the four-day weekend, says the studio.

O, an update of Shakespeare's Othello that was the weekend's other new film, debuted with $15 million in seventh place.
