Is this too much makeup for an 8-year-old?

In thick mascara and bright pink lipstick, Katie Price's 8-year-old daughter Princess looks like she's been into Mummy's makeup.

The little girl's grown-up posing, however, sparked a fierce online debate after Price posted the pictures on social media as they played dress-up before she went on stage for a Christmas pantomime.

The reality TV star, 37, who is starring as the Wicked Fairy in Sleeping Beauty in Woking, Surrey, captioned one image: "Love being with Princess today in sameish outfits."

Some Instagram users said she should let Princess, her daughter with ex-husband Peter Andre, "act like a normal little girl", and others said it was just mother-daughter fun.

Last night Price's publicist said: "They were in Katie's dressing room, surrounded by flamboyant pantomime costumes.

"In the same way children get their face painted or go to parties dressed as their favourite character, Princess was dressing up as the Wicked Fairy, and it was designed to be a bit of fun."

Princess has since fired back on her mother's Instagram with a sassy response.
