River Queen to show at Shanghai Film Festival

River Queen, the Vincent Ward-directed historical New Zealand drama, has been selected to screen in competition at the Shanghai International Film Festival, in China.

The Festival, which runs from June 17 to 25, is one of the most significant film events in Asia, the New Zealand Film Commission said.

River Queen was filmed in Wanganui and to ld the story of a young woman's search for her lost son .

It starred Samantha Morton, Kiefer Sutherland, Cliff Curtis, Temuera Morrison and Rawiri Pene.
