Auckland boutique Children of Vision is selling a very limited selection of scarves from Australian design collective Trust Fun - so exclusive that there are only three scarves in the country, and only three other stores in the world sell them. The colourful, somewhat trippy scarves feature a fractal, created by entering numbers and equations into a computer - and no two scarves are the same.
$540 from Children of Vision, ph (09) 379 8930.

Dress of the year
If you've ever thought that the size of your wardrobe is ridiculous, perhaps it's time to take inspiration from Sheena Matheiken. The Guardian has reported that the New Yorker has promised to wear a version of the same dress every day for a year, as part of a bid to raise funds for the Akanksha Foundation. Matheiken has seven carbon copies of a black dress, which she updates and accessorises - then photographs and puts it up on her website. As well as raising funds to help Indian children get an education, the project examines ideas of materialism and over-consumption.
