Smell this
Stitch Ministry has teamed up with New Zealand perfume expert Yves Andre to release their own signature scent. This is the first time a New Zealand designer has launched a scent (although there are rumours of a Trelise Cooper fragrance). The floral Stitch Ministry perfume is called If You Love Me, and is designed to capture the flavour of their spring/summer collection. The label, designed by Kylee Davis, has released a scent pouch with each collection since it launched, but this is the first season with an actual fragrance. Notes include orange flower, mandarin, jasmine and cassis. If You Love Me, $89 for 50ml, available from Stitch Ministry's concept store The Vault and selected retailers nationwide.
Phoebe's back!
Good news for fans of Phoebe Philo's distinctive street-tinged bohemian look: the former Chloe designer has been announced as the new creative director at Celine. Philo was credited with making Chloe cool again, but resigned from the French house in 2006 to focus on motherhood. Her return to fashion has been eagerly awaited - no doubt her first collection for Celine, in (the northern) autumn 2009 will be too.
