By MARGIE THOMSON
It has to be acknowledged that Mathias is an enthusiast - for the food she samples, gasping; for the music she listens to, tears splashing on to her food; for the people she easily meets on her travels.
Here, Mathias is on a sort of quest, to trace the movement of ideas, tastes and traditions from Morocco through Spain, Portugal and Andalusia. But enthusiasm does not a great book make, and I for one quickly tired of hearing about glorious meals enjoyed by someone else.
