Review: Graham Reid
With whisky-cured vocals from Powerstation manager Walker, this is a real surprise and the 14-track outing of his mature originals (Stuart Pearce on piano, organ and autoharp, Rick Poole on guitars) should have widespread middle-age barbecue appeal (cue 45 And Still Alive.)
These guys play in the pocket club rock and touch base with country-rock, r'n'b, Dylanesque folk-rock, cajun and appealingly slurry shuffles two generations removed from Ponsonby reggae.
