Review: Gilbert Wong
Another title could be A Century of Aviation in Fewer than 50 Pages. This book is a swizzle, with page after page of black and white photographs culled from the authors' own collections or, worse, supplied publicity images from airlines.
If there is a thematic link to the images it is that so many of the aircraft are shown sitting on the ground - not good for a history of flight. And there are major omissions with nothing of the downed Ansett Dash 8 or the nuts and cola effort of Kiwi Air. The less said about the text the better.
