Rosier's perspective on management is typically people-focused.
"This book is not about managing budgets or production or investments: it is about management and people. Management is available to everyone in a workplace; it is not the sole prerogative of managers, although it is certainly their particular responsibility," she writes.
Her book is particularly for people working in not-for-profit, voluntary or service organisations and collectives which are characterised, she says, by a sense of shared purpose.
Her emphasis is on the dynamics of teams, and many real-life case studies punctuate the text.
