KEY POINTS:
If you have problems remembering what you saw on telly last night then spare a thought for the judges of this year's Qantas Television Awards which are being screened on Saturday - they have had to vote on programmes most of which aired more than a year ago.
Top nominee with 10 nods, Insiders Guide to Love, last graced our screens late last year while its chief competition in the best drama categories is Doves of War (early this year before being bumped off the TV3 schedule) and Outrageous Fortune (not the current second series but the first from mid-2005), which is up for four gongs.
It's the same delayed celebration for many other categories, including the best comedy threesome of bro'Town, Pulp Sport and The Unauthorised History of New Zealand all being judged on their 2005 efforts.
However, news being news, the broadcast journalism section of the awards is based on more recent efforts.
The televised awards, presented by Dominic Bowden and Petra Bagust, will screen on TV3 at 9.30pm this Saturday, mere hours after they are dished out at Auckland's Aotea Centre.
