Like many parents, I'm not averse to posting the odd photo of my kids on Facebook. It's a lazy way to update your family and friends with the latest little milestone ("We got a cat!"), while boring all your non-parent Facebook friends at the same time. But really, posting pics of your children on Facebook is for beginners.
As Kim Knight points out in her cover story this week, Instagram is where stylish New Zealand mothers are not only posting picture-perfect snaps of their Scandi-cool kids, but getting paid for it, not only via troves of free stuff but in cold, hard cash.
The resulting pics look amazing - and exhausting. I think I'll stick to Facebook and the blurry cat pics for now.
