Rose Matafeo is only 24, but she's been a successful comedian in New Zealand for so long (she won New Zealand's most prestigious comedy award, the Billy T, at 21) that she seems way older. Having recently moved to London, she's returned home to appear in the Comedy Festival and to write the second series of Funny Girls. Greg Bruce talks to her this week about the move, why ongoing failure is a prerequisite to success as a comedian and about living with depression.
Also this week, Kim Knight on trigger warnings, Megan Nicol Reed on the weirdly intense emotional bond some women have with their hairdresser, Donna Hay flashes up mac and cheese and Dan Ahwa on the reinvention of the humble puffer jacket.
Have a great weekend.
