New Zealand film In My Father's Den is set for release in the United States next year after the striking of a distribution deal.
The film, based on the 1972 Maurice Gee novel, has been picked up by Tartan Films USA, which has set a provisional release date of May 2006.
The movie, starring Pride and Prejudice's Matthew MacFadyen, Suburban Mayhem's Emily Barclay and Lord of the Rings actress Miranda Otto, premiered in 2004 and has won several international film awards and multiple New Zealand awards.
