A few years ago Natalie Imbrugliahad never heard of obstetric fistula.
Now the Australian singer-songwriter is on a United Nations Population Fund mission to help prevent the crippling childbirth injury that affects two million women.
"It just should not be happening that women cannot safely have a child in this day and age," said Imbruglia, who has been to Africa twice.
"If you could help just one of these women, to me it is giving that woman her life back."
