Maurice Gee: The Fire-Raiser

The small town of Jessop has been terrorised by an arsonist for months.

One building after another has been set ablaze to satisfy the fire-raiser's addiction to flames. Events take on an even more sinister turn when his craving drives him to set fire to a stable full of horses. Kitty Wix encounters a strange man fleeing the scene and she and other children in the town suspect they know who the arsonist might be.

The children start working together to prove that crazy Eddie Marwick is responsible for the fires.
