In the upper atmosphere, where elite parachutists such as Brehm operate, the temperature at terminal velocity combined with wind chill can drop to -56 deg C.
In wartime Brehm is a member of a team of troopers who parachute behind enemy lines to recover downed flyers. During peace-time, he and his ilk leap into raging seas to rescue adrift sailors. He works whatever the weather, day or night.
The title comes from the parajumpers' motto and, while some might poke fun at the machismo in all this, without a certain amount of guts, none of what they do would be possible.
