Brad Pitt is (sigh) perfect. Woman's Weekly is full of Angelina Jolie gushing (through unnamed friends, of course) about her hunky partner being "the greatest guy in the world and the best father there can be".

It appears that having a baby with Angelina and adopting her two adopted children,
Maddox and Zahara, has made Pitt ditch his selfish Hollywood lifestyle to focus on the kids. No more meeting George Clooney for cocktails. It's all about the kids, whether that is figuring out how to put those damn nappies on or teaching Maddox to kick a soccer ball.

The article also goes on about Pitt's love for Jolie and how he spends a good deal of time hugging her. Well, what man wouldn't?

It seems there is nothing Brad will not do for Angie, including dissing ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. It all started when Plan B, the production company Pitt owns with Jen (he has controlling rights), bought the rights to A Mighty Heart, the story of Mariane Pearl, whose journalist husband Daniel was murdered in Pakistan. Brad thought Jen was perfect for the role - until Angie won his heart.

Woman's Day says Aniston is upset over her role being given to Angie. "She's taken everything from me. She's trying to ruin my life," Jen told friends.

If you read New Idea, though, you will be told that actually all is not well in the Brangelina relationship as they struggle to cope with the new baby.

The magazine says the harsh reality of caring for three children under five has set in for the once-blissful lovers. A crying baby, sleepless nights and jealousy from Maddox and Zahara have marred the love they once shared.

The cover of Woman's Day is all about another boring member of the boring Windsor family. Yes, Princess Beatrice has turned 18 and she had a big bash which cost $1.2 million but which was snubbed by senior members of the royal family.

It seems as if the Queen and Prince Philip's ongoing feud with Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, had them giving a flimsy excuse not to attend the do at Windsor Castle. Even Charles and Camilla pleaded an unknown prior engagement, while Princes William and Harry played polo instead.

There is a bit of local colour in the Weekly, which took three of the Silver Ferns out for a day of pampering. Adine Wilson, Belinda Colling and Vilimaina Davu were dressed up and taken to Dunedin's historic Corstorphine House for a photo shoot. There are pictures of them looking decidedly different from their normal on-court selves. They also reveal a bit about their off-court activities. Questions like: Who is the best cook? and who is the girliest girl? are all answered.

Good news for Kylie Minogue fans. New Idea says she is ready to reinvent herself now that she has recovered from breast cancer. She has returned to the recording studio and is preparing for a concert tour in Australia in November. She has also rejoined the party circuit, glamming it up at Sir Elton John's star-studded White Tie and Tiara Ball. The Day takes the story a bit further by saying that Kylie has opted for a radical new technique to fall pregnant by boyfriend Olivier Martinez. In the new process, slivers of her ovaries are taken out and frozen, and then reimplanted in the hope they will continue to release eggs. It is hoped she will have good news after two failed IVF attempts.

Hollywood star Kate Hudson appears in both the Weekly and the Day this week. The Weekly reveals that her marriage to rocker Chris Robinson is a bit "volatile". Apparently not even furniture is safe when the fights began. The Day has pictures of Kate and her mother in swimwear under the heading "Goldie's still sizzling at 60". Goldie says it is the healthy relationship with her partner Kurt Russell and plenty of exercise that keeps her looking good.

Billy Joel's old Uptown Girl, Christie Brinkley, still can't find love after four marriages. She has just left her fourth husband, Peter Cook, after he cheated on her with a 19-year-old. The 47-year-old Cook apparently promised Diana Biachi that he would kick-start her singing career and leave his famous wife for her. The Day reports Biachi's accusations of seduction and sexual harassment. Christie is believed to have fled to her parents' home in Los Angeles with her kids Sailor and Jack.
