KEY POINTS:
You would assume the parts of your life to get the biggest boost out of a career as a hair stylist would be your wardrobe, your looks and, of course, your crowning glory. But for Diana Moar, who works at D&M Hair Design in Ponsonby, it's her social life that's improved.
She's been a hairstylist for more than eight years and, meets "so many people you'd never normally meet just because they don't normally mingle in your own circles".
And, Moar notes, besides going behind the scenes at fashion shows and photo shoots - she recently worked on Huffer's show and has also done hair at New Zealand Fashion Week - "You also get invited to a lot more social events!"
