KEY POINTS:
She's gone from working on the shop floor at the Workshop store to working on the shop floor at Workshop. But what a difference a new job makes.
While Rebecca Lawson was studying for her degree in communications from the Auckland University of Technology, she was also working at Workshop's Newmarket store. But three years after graduating, she's part of the team that's organising Workshop's winter fashion show, also to be held at the Newmarket store on November 17.
"We're taking out all the racks and making a runway through the store," says Lawson, who just started a new job at public relations consultancy, Showroom 22. "And that's exciting for me because I have quite strong ties to the label. And now it's really fun to be working on this side of things."
For the past three years, Lawson's also been presenting a show on Juice TV - at the moment she's the girl behind that channel's Top Ten show.
The new role could be hard on the wallet. When you work in a store, you tend to end up wearing everything from that one label, says the 25-year-old. "Whereas here we are representing about 15 different designers. So you're exposed to a broader range of fashion. Like I would never even have known about a label such as Love Lies Bleeding. And now I'm planning to get one of their dresses."

What is your beauty routine?
I cleanse with Cetaphil, followed by Elizabeth Arden Prevage, then Natio moisturiser.
Your favourite shop of the moment?
I'm a bit of an internet shopper, so www.mycatwalk.com.au, www.ozdesigners.com and www.asos.com are good. And in real life, kikki.K on Nuffield St.
