Two years living in London helped shape Jessica Blake's style, which she describes as "Parisian crossed with rockabilly and punk".

"Anything goes in London and there are so many niches and subcultures that have a thriving scene," says Blake, who worked in London's popular chainstore Topshop.

"Topshop is this mad, huge fashion store that never stops. Celebrities and designers are constantly coming in and out and they have a great vintage section, as well as in-house DJs and stylists."

Back in Auckland she is working at K Rd boutique Spacesuit.

"Since working here I have completely fallen in love with the shop. There is something for everybody. We sell everything from zebra-striped leggings to cropped tartan jackets and 1960s mod trench coats. Everything's ridiculously cheap and we don't buy huge quantities of the same style, so you know that what you have is pretty unique."

What's your favourite look?

At the moment I'm obsessed by anything that looks slightly Parisian. I'm also loving neckscarfs, cropped denim shorts, leather jackets and any T-shirt that has a skull or heavy metal motif on it.

Who are your favourite fashion designers?

Vivienne Westwood, Alice McCall, Mala Brajkovic.

What is your favourite accessory of the moment?

My fake Alexander McQueen skull scarf and swallow earrings - oh and my beret that I chopped the edge off.

What is the last item of clothing you bought?

A fake leather jacket.

What item from your wardrobe can't you live without?

My black patent wedge heels.

What item of makeup would you be lost without?

Concealer and mascara and eyebrow pencil.

Who inspires you?

My friends. They're all amazing and awesome, and constantly challenge me to be a better and nicer person.

Favourite colour in your wardrobe?

Black. It's just easy.

Favourite store of the moment?

Spacesuit. You can buy an entire wardrobe for $300 and nobody else will be wearing the same clothes as you. Also, Fast and Loose for cheap fantastic vintage clothes.

What's your biggest indulgence?

Shoes and stockings. I'm obsessed with seamed stockings.

What is your beauty routine?

Something along the lines of laziness and Clearasil.

Worst beauty mistake?

Trying to go from blonde hair to black in one attempt.

Best fashion bargain?

Fake Alexander McQueen scarf, only £1 from a car boot sale and cute bow shoes, $20 from Search and Destroy.

The one rule you always dress by?

Try to look hot.

The one (fashion) rule you always break?

I have polar fleece pants that are pretty much the ugliest pants in the world but I can sit outside in -1C and still feel warm.

What is the one key item of clothing everyone should have in their wardrobe?

Neckscarfs and skinny leg jeans (boys too).

Whose wardrobe would you like to raid?

Kelly Osbourne. I saw her wardrobe on The Osbournes once. Her clothes are amazing.
