95A Queen St, Auckland City
We came here because it had been a while since our last visit and the central location is perfect for city workers.
Parking was not an issue for us - we walked. There are several parking buildings around if you're willing to pay the exorbitant fees.
We walked in and immediately thought it was very busy for a weekday morning.
The most unusual thing on the menu was the Turkish breakfast - sliced tomato, cucumber and olives with jam, cream cheese, boiled egg and toast ($13.50).
We ordered eggs benedict with bacon and mushrooms ($14.50), creamy mushrooms with bacon on toast ($14) and an omelette with bacon and mushrooms ($13) - it was a bacon and mushrooms kind of day. The servings were generous quite perfect.
The service was attentive for such a busy place.
The coffee was very good and the little squares of brownie on the side were a nice added touch.
We recommend if you come here you try the creamy mushrooms and bacon.
Overall we thought Divan was a lovely touch of the Mediterranean in the CBD. Shame the weather wouldn't play ball.
