An adventure story with a strong eco flavour. Twelve-year-old Robbie, struggling to come to terms with his father's death, is sent to stay with his uncle who farms near Opotiki.
There he learns some surprising things about his father, and helps to stop the illegal wildlife trade. This will be greatly enjoyed by kids interested in environmental issues, such as insensitive land development, land ownership issues between Maori and Pakeha, and the protection of endangered species. It's a good read.
