When Mrs Golightly retires she buys a bicycle and sets off on an adventure with Reggie the dog.
She has no plans but decides to travel until she's ready to come home again. Her husband thinks she'll be home for dinner, but in fact Mrs Golightly has set off on a world trip.
She starts by going south "because, as everyone knows, going South is always downhill".
Sustained by sausages, Mrs Golightly journeys across the continents. On the way she meets all sorts of people from many countries and cultures, and collects many of them as passengers.
But there's not much room on a bicycle for passengers, and Mrs Golightly needs some help if she is to continue her travels.
