As with sea angling, there are more troutfishing books on the market than you can throw a dead fish at, but former Herald outdoorsman Colin Moore casts a different line: as well as describing fishing spots around the country and how to get to them, he lists places to stay, where to dine, the district fishing regulations, tackle shops, information centres and angling clubs, and what to do if the fish aren't biting (I'd probably head for the boozer).
